Source is an immersive 180° audio-visual performance that we created together with visual artist Bori Mákó, and her sister, musician Rozi Mákó. The performance was created specifically for the
DOME_LIVE series of programs of the Hungarian House of Music. Following the thread of an imagined creation story, Bori first created abstract digital paintings, which were then animated by me. A first version was created for a 2D flat screen, after which we adapted the roughly 40 minutes of animation into the 180° degree cupola of the Sound Dome. Rozi Mákó then brought in the live element, performing on piano and an array of instruments over the animation projection.
